FastDry Technologies™

1.1 million damage cases due to tap water in Germany every year

Drying with conventional methods is often extremely time-consuming and not very efficient. Energy consumption and noise levels are relatively high, with some areas often drying faster than others.

FastDry™ - fast, energy-efficient drying process with uniform results

Compared to conventional drying methods, FastDry™ is a silent technology that saves energy and shortens drying times.

The side of the module containing the heating unit is mounted directly to the damp wall, which is then heated in a controlled manner via a thermostat.

A FastDry™ drying module consists of an integrated heating unit and a permeable insulation layer. The side of the module containing the heating unit is mounted directly to the wet wall, which is then heated in a controlled manner via a thermostat. Heating the wall speeds up water evaporation, i.e. the drying process. The water vapor produced passes through the permeable thermal insulation layer and is released into the room. Water vapor also escapes via the other side of the wall if it is permeable.

The controlled temperature combined with the thermal insulation layer ensures an even temperature distribution. Furthermore, the insulation layer reduces energy losses and thus also cuts electricity costs. In this way, walls and ceilings are dried quickly in a quiet and energy-efficient process. Consequently, the FastDry™ technology not only meets the high demands of renovating firms and end-customers but also satisfies insurance companies’ aims to lower electricity costs.

High drying speed

Walls dry rapidly due to heating and temperature control. The breathable insulation layer allows moisture to escape from the wall through the module.

Energy efficient

Energy savings of up to 80% compared to other drying methods. The insulation and temperature control make the FastDry™ technology highly efficient.

Superior drying results

The controlled and uniform drying process guarantees excellent results.

Silent operation

The noiseless operation also means that walls can be dried at night or in rooms while people are working.

Flexibility

The modules can be easily stacked on top of one another and are secured by magnets.

Low weight

The modules are light, making them quick and easy to install.

The FastDry™ technology was compared with other common drying methods in a series of laboratory tests at Fraunhofer IBP. Partition walls made of vertically perforated bricks were soaked under constant conditions in a climate chamber and then dried. The following figures show the results of the drying methods tested. The tests carried out confirm the viability of the FastDry™ technology and demonstrate that it is at least as fast as other methods while saving up to 90% energy at the same time.
